Geltfiend Catskills Chanukah Sweater in Navy (Review)

I love Hanukkah and never dreamed that there would be a Jewish apparel line featuring some of the most well known and beloved symbols of the holiday. I recently was introduced to this company called Geltfiend that specializes in high quality Jewish clothing for adults and children in a variety of styles, colors, and designs with a unique flair, adding a special sparkle to the holiday season.

 I have the Catskills Chanukah Sweater by Geltfiend and it is truly impeccable with a style that is like no other I have ever seen. The sweater is a rich navy color with white Chanukah designs woven around the neckline along with white Christmas trees, dreidels, snowflakes, and menorahs. It also has two attractive, medium sized dreidel gelt pockets located at the waistline. The Catskills Sweater is made with fine materials of spandex, acrylic, and comes in various sizes ranging from small, medium, large, and x-large.

The sweater has short sleeves, slips right over my head very easily, and is super comfortable with a classy, feminine look to it. I have a short waist and the location of the pockets can make my waist appear slightly shorter, but if I pair the sweater up with a long or medium length skirt, it looks great. I have also let my daughter try the sweater on and it looks stunning on her. She has a long waist and in my opinion, the sweater looks better on her than on me.

Because of the sweater’s unique design, it can be paired with skirts or pants and it is available in two colors- navy and red. I personally prefer the navy color, because it compliments the other colors in my wardrobe.

One of the major elements of the Catskills Sweater that I love is the intricately woven symbols, because it represents my Jewish heritage and before owning the sweater, I never had any clothing with a Jewish design.

Even though the sweater looks, beautiful, classy, and feminine it also has a fun and eye catching design that can be a great conversational piece when attending family gatherings, holiday parties, or just running errands.

I thought the price of the sweater was a little high, but I think that is because of the unique style, high quality materials, and great detailing throughout the sweater which give a truly “one of a kind” appearance.

Since I have never seen a sweater like this before, I wanted to share my honest opinion about it. If you love Chanukah and you want to look festive, classy, and unique, then this is the sweater for you. I know it is for me!
